Father Leo Venhuizen

I have the sad duty to inform you of the sudden departure of
Father Leo Venhuizen.
He died in the afternoon, today, January 9th
In the second half of November Leo had come home on sick-leave, and while staying at Heythuysen,
he received treatment in the hospital at Weert. Yesterday he got a sudden attack of pain. The doctor was called in, but after examining him, he could not say what the reason for this pain was.
Leo was taken to hospital, examined again but without the doctors getting to know what was wrong with Leo. While they were discussing today about operating upon him or not to find out what the trouble was, Leo was brought to the restrooms, and it was there, that he suddenly died.

Leo was born on April 10th, 1933;
ordained on 02 Febnruary 1959
after having taken his oath on July 10th 1958.
Most of years as a missionary he has worked in Zambia.

He will be buried at Heythuysen on Wednesday, January 14th.
